We are seeking a Virtio Expertto join a leading technology project. This is a senior-level role (6+ years of experience) forprofessionals ready to operate independently and contribute to both embedded/edge virtualizationand cloud-hostedenvironments.

·        Virtioexpertise: Hands-on experience developing or extending Virtiodevices (e.g., virtio-audio,virtio-gpu, virtio-vsock, virtio-net) and deep knowledge ofVirtio specification internals.

·        Cloud& Containers: Solid understanding of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes,and CI/CD workflowsfor virtualized environments.

·        Autonomy:Ability to translate high-level requirements into concrete solutions withminimal supervision.

·        Collaboration& Documentation: Support R&D efforts and contribute totechnical discussions on standardsand architecture.

·        Familiarity with OASIS Virtio Technical Committee,QEMU, or Linux kernel Virtio subsystems.

·        Experience with open-source contributions,public speaking, or influencing industry standards through proposals.

·        Bachelorsor Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,or related field.

·        6+years of professional experience in software development,virtualization, or similar domains.

·        Strong communication skills, able to work in English (B2 level or higher).

·        Hybrid 2 days per week onsite in Fundãoor Porto (Portugal).
