Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled technical solutions specialist to join our Centre of Excellence (COE). This role focuses on driving enablement and adoption of EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE). The successful candidate will work closely with sales teams to provide deep technical expertise and advanced troubleshooting to support the implementation of EAE in customer solutions.

This position requires deep technical knowledge and strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts to technical and business stakeholders. Responsibilities include supporting sales to win more EAE business and assisting customers throughout their project development cycle:

  1. Provide technical pre-sales support on automation & control system architectures using EAE.
  2. Act as the technical SME at customer sites to define and implement optimal automation architectures with EAE.
  3. Identify technical requirements and constraints for adopting EAE and propose suitable solutions.
  4. Demonstrate and explain the advantages and disadvantages of proposed architectures.
  5. Create solution architectures and demos to showcase EAE's value to customers.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a matrix organization. Influencing and motivating others without direct authority is essential. A technical mindset combined with commercial acumen is necessary to drive sales growth and win new business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, IT programming, or related fields.
  • Experience as an Embedded Software Engineer with a strong IT focus is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming, Windows and Linux environments, Docker/Kubernetes, Virtualization, C# for HMI integration.
  • Networking experience with LAN, WAN, VLAN, Switches, Routers, and protocols like TCP/IP, Modbus, EthernetIP, Profinet, HTTPS, MQTT.
  • Programming skills in C/C++, Python, JavaScript are beneficial.
  • Ability to develop code and design system architectures for industrial applications.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP.
  • Deep expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/DCS, and industrial networking.
  • Experience designing and deploying large-scale automation solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly.
  • Minimum of 5 years in automation solution development and programming.

This role requires approximately 50% travel.
