Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Software Development Manager to lead our engineering team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, provide strategic leadership, and drive initiatives to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong people management.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Technical leadership: Lead complex and multi-disciplinary projects, help the team with problem solving by offering suggestions, technical guidelines and feedback, ensure quality, performance and security. Deliver results and challenge the team, actively working in technical discussions, architecture and other decisions, focused on Development routines;
  • Project Management: ensure valuable deliveries, timeline, ceremonies, project metrics, remove blocks, manage risks, report project status, collect and apply lessons learned, propose changes to the existing SW Development process to achieve better results;
  • People Management: evaluations, IDP, feedback, 1:1, ensure processes are followed, improve productivity, technical and soft skills, motivate the team, provide career direction, hiring and dismissal process, ability to retain talents;
  • Relationship management with multiple stakeholders (both technical and business), taking accountability to deliver software solutions and getting development team's commitment;
  • Suggest and promote process improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related areas or equivalent work experience;
  • Experience with Software Development;
  • Experience in a leadership role in software development projects;
  • Experience in delivering software projects, management, building and staffing of software development teams;
  • Manage customer expectations while working with cross-functional teams to meet customer/product delivery goals;
  • Knowledge and experience in agile methodologies;
  • Drive team to innovate and deliver roadmap features with agility and high quality;
  • Hands on profile, actively involved in technical and architectural discussions.

Software Engineers (Development and L2/L3 Support)

This position is a remote position to work from São Paulo, Brazil. You will be working as a consultant directly with our client in Brazil.

Job Title: Software Engineers (Development and L2/L3 Support)

Number of Positions: 3 (One each for Full-Stack Developer, Java CMS Developer, and DevOps Specialist)

Overview:

We are seeking experienced Software Engineers with strong development and L2/L3 Support backgrounds to join the Web Platform team in one of our banking client. The ideal candidates will specialize in one of the following tracks: Full-Stack Development or Java with CMS, or DevOps with Cloud. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong debugging, system analysis, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

I. Full-Stack Developer (Cloud Focus)

  • Strong proficiency in Java and modern UI frameworks (React preferred)
  • Experience building and supporting full-stack web applications on cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and performance tuning
  • Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and integration patterns
  • Ability to troubleshoot application and infrastructure-level issues in production
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Strong grasp of web architectures, templates, servlets, and OSGi configurations
  • Knowledge of RESTful API integration and application logging/debugging
  • Understanding of deployment pipelines and support workflows
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD best practices, and build/release automation
  • Working experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Basic programming/scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python, or Groovy)
  • Proficiency with Linux commands, system/application log analysis, and monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, or Terraform)

General Requirements:

  • Ability to identify and resolve L2 production issues, drive root cause analysis, and provide stable resolutions
  • Strong communication skills to interface with development teams and stakeholders
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Technical Lead Fullstack Java, AWS

Contract to hire long term contract.

Payrate: per hour

  • Must have leadership skills, as well as hands on design and development skills.
  • Must have strong AWS services skills, having previously implemented AWS based solutions.
  • Financial services experience is preferred.

Tech Lead in our Individual Product journey in the Retirement Strategies Business Unit, you will partner with product owners, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to help us launch new financial products with a modern architectural approach. You will partner with other technology leaders to brainstorm best design and integration approach for your deliverables and build consensus to implement your proposals. You will also be responsible for managing and guiding other software engineers on your team. You will look at broad deliverables, break them down into actionable building blocks and leveraging resources at hand to complete deliverables within a timeline. You will feel challenged with ensuring your design meets the firmwide systems and modernization strategy. For this, you will need to maintain a broader awareness of firmwide technology strategy, as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers In addition to deep technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

  • Develop, maintain and drive modernization of the services and capabilities within your overall scope.
  • Responsible for technical design and infrastructure / environments strategy, including deployments for your team's deliverables.
  • Collaborate with product owners in aligning the roadmap accounting for strengths and opportunities within the technical stack, bringing forward business delivery and knowledge to influence decisions
  • Monitor performance, uptime and health of your services
  • Go above and beyond by helping setup best practices and lead the way in helping teams in adopting best operational and development practices
  • Mentor and coach the technical team on results and timelines, including support with code reviews, domain knowledge and ownership and bring a deep understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, embedding learning and innovation in the day-to-day
  • Identify and remove complex technical impediments that may arise within the team

The Skills & Expertise You Bring:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
  • Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • 3-7 years of hands-on knowledge and experience with developing applications in Java, Springboot, react or angular
  • 3-5 years experience with leading small to mid-sized teams
  • Experience with designing and developing financial services applications
  • Experience with developing java or python applications in AWS development stack
  • Experience with using ECS, containers, Github, Kong / APIGEE and understanding of authentication and authorization enforcement in java services
  • Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business
  • Strong executive presence with an ability to translate and communicate sophisticated technical solutions in understandable terms to a broad range of audiences
  • Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills
