Locum Anesthesiology Physician job in Bethlehem, PA - pay: $285/hour - $305/hour. Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum anesthesiology position in Bethlehem, PA.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to develop and implement optimal patient care plans.
  • Administer anesthesia types (general, regional, local) based on patient and procedure needs.
  • Continuously monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels to maintain patient safety and stability.
  • Respond to emergencies and critical situations during surgery.
  • Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
  • Stay current on advances in anesthesiology through continuing education.


Qualifications
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency: Anesthesiology residency accredited by ACGME or AOA.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.
  • Certification: Board certification in anesthesiology by ABA or AOA.
  • Experience: Preference for candidates with at least one year of clinical anesthesia experience (locum preferred).
  • Skills: Strong clinical judgment, communication, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
