Job Summary

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance iOS applications that deliver AP's trusted news content to millions of users worldwide. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless, engaging, and innovative mobile experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift and modern Apple frameworks.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement new features.

• Optimize app performance, ensuring fast load times, smooth UI, and efficient data handling.

• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and maintainability (unit tests, UI tests, CI/CD).

• Stay up to date with iOS development trends, Swift advancements, and Apple's ecosystem (SwiftUI, Combine, etc.).

• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues.

• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews to maintain high development standards.Ensure apps comply with accessibility, security, and privacy standards.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience with a strong portfolio of published apps.

• Expertise in Swift (UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine)

• Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and reactive programming.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and offline data storage (Core Data, Realm).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Located in Latin America.

• Proficient in English.
