Job Title: Big Data Engineer (Remote - Latin America)

Azumo is seeking a highly motivated Big Data Engineer to develop and enhance data and analytics infrastructure. This is a FULLY REMOTE position based in Latin America.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a growing team of bright engineering minds in big data computing. The role involves designing and developing scalable, high-performance big data infrastructure using Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, or similar frameworks, both on-premise and in the cloud. Experience with building data pipelines, data services, data warehouses, BI, and ML platforms is required.

Requirements

The Data Engineer will work remotely. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and potential.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience with data management responsibilities
  • Expertise in designing and building data warehouses and big data analytics systems
  • Practical experience with data manipulation, analysis, and visualization
  • Self-driven, motivated, with a strong work ethic and problem-solving passion
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud-based managed services like Airflow, Glue, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure SQL, EMR, Databricks, etc.
  • Experience with notebooks such as Jupyter or Google Colab
