About The Role
We're looking for six Senior Full Stack Engineers to join our team as remote contractors. We're seeking experienced engineers based in Brazil or across Latin America who want to join a US engineering team building our next generation of our enterprise software platform for delivering amazing customer experiences to our clients. We are a world class engineering team, and only hire the best engineers

In this role, you will work with many other engineers owning, architecting, and building an extremely valuable SaaS platform for the higher education industry. You will work with other engineers, product managers, designers, and leaders as part of our world class software engineering team.

We're a remote-first, results-driven team that values impact over hours. Fridays are kept flexible to wrap up anything outstanding, and success in this role is measured by the results you deliver and the impact you create—not by time spent online.

As a Sr Software Engineer here, you'll have a significant impact on what we do and how we do it.

We build and support systems using both Java and Node.js/React. We believe that great developers can always learn new tools. • Have 3+ years experience building software or web applications with object-oriented or functional programming languages.
• Are willing to work on web applications on both the front- and back-end.
• Understand how to build solutions with an agile approach. You're excited to collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers and use real-time feedback to solve problems iteratively.
• Are interested in using tests to verify proper functionality.
• Do not rely upon testers to ensure your code works correctly.

Required Skills

• Fluent in English (English is our company's official language)
• Full Stack TypeScript/JavaScript (React, NodeJS, etc)
• Relational Databases (MySQL, Postgres, etc)
• AWS
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

We'd Be Delighted If You Bring Experience With

• Elasticsearch, MongoDB, other NoSQL Databases
• Logging technologies
• Elixir (experience with elixir is a plus — though you can learn elixir on the job)
• Experience owning and maintaining complex systems
