What You Will Be Doing

• Orchestrate large-scale AWS migrations that transform legacy systems into modern, efficient cloud infrastructure
• Design and implement intelligent monitoring systems that predict and prevent issues before they impact users
• Lead critical database migrations and optimization efforts across multiple database engines
• Create sophisticated automation workflows that enhance system reliability and operational efficiency

What You Won't Be Doing

• Drowning in bureaucratic processes or endless status update meetings
• Playing caretaker to legacy systems without a modernization roadmap
• Waiting for multiple layers of approval to implement critical fixes
• Working in isolation or being confined to a single technology stack
• Struggling to secure resources for essential infrastructure improvements

DevOps Architect Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the evolution of our cloud infrastructure by implementing cutting-edge monitoring solutions, intelligent automation systems, and AWS best practices across our diverse product portfolio

Basic Requirements

• Proven mastery of AWS infrastructure (essential - this is our core platform)
• Advanced programming capabilities in Python or JavaScript for developing robust automation solutions
• Extensive experience managing and migrating various database engines (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
• Expert-level proficiency with Docker/Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong background in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Advanced Linux systems administration knowledge

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
