We are seeking a highly skilled remote Senior Data DevOps Engineer to join our remote team.

As a Senior Data DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of infrastructure as code, utilizing your expertise in Pulumi (or similar: Terraform, Kubernetes, Istio), Concourse CI, and Big Data technologies such as Cloudera (HDFS, HIVE, SPARK, KAFKA). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines using infrastructure as code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues related to infrastructure, performance, and security
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment and release processes
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of our systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance
  • Participate in code reviews, offering input on infrastructure and deployment-related issues
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for DevOps processes and tools
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a proven track record of success in infrastructure as code development and maintenance
  • Expertise in Pulumi (or similar: Terraform, Kubernetes, Istio), Concourse CI, and Big Data technologies such as Cloudera (HDFS, HIVE, SPARK, KAFKA)
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong focus on teamwork and exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage stress effectively, maintaining a high level of performance even under pressure
  • Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
