Muxon is recruiting on behalf of a US fast-growing IoT orchestration platform company that empowers businesses to manage connected devices and automate workflows at scale. The company has been active for over 10 years, is venture-backed, and is establishing a product development center of excellence in Buenos Aires to support its globally distributed team. We're looking for an experienced Lead to guide their core development team.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading software engineering teams.
  • Previous experience working on an IoT-related project, or familiarity with MQTT or similar protocols.
  • Advanced proficiency in Golang; experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Proficient with Datadog.
  • Basic working knowledge of React.js and TypeScript for occasional frontend tasks.
  • Professional fluency in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, manage daily operations, and drive technical excellence.
  • Own and evolve backend architecture using Golang, ensuring code quality, scalability, and reliability.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure components.
  • Drive sprint planning, backlog management, and feature decomposition.
  • Implement monitoring, incident response, and performance tuning following SRE principles.
  • Lead investigations into critical issues, collaborating with support and QA teams for resolution.
  • Contribute to frontend and on-device clients through code reviews and bug fixes as needed.
  • Work remotely with occasional meetings or gatherings in Buenos Aires (about once every two weeks, depending on team availability).
