Senior Product Specialist

SAP Procurement is SAP's strategic suite of solutions designed to help organizations manage their procurement and sourcing processes efficiently. It enables businesses to automate purchasing, optimize supplier relationships, and control spending while ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Our team is spread across Europe, North America, and Asia and is responsible for outbound and inbound product management and for driving SAP Procurement's strategy of defining requirements and executing them with engineering.

Sao Leopoldo, Brazil. Hybrid

This role requires a self-directed team player with business and technical acumen, ready to be a deep expert in the Procurement product. In this role you would be working closely with product managers, UX, engineering, and QA to execute the vision for your portfolio of the Procurement suite, refine requirements, plan releases, and support customers and partners. You will collaborate with product manager peers to create and maintain a backlog maximizing business value based on strategy and ROI. You will ensure requirements are elaborated fully and that engineering teams always have adequately prepared tasks to execute on. You will actively mitigate impediments impacting successful team completion of releases, and you will support internal teams and customers to understand new features and releases. You will assist peer product managers and other teams to present features, create webinars, and run workshops at events for our customers. Expected travel is 10-20% (mix of international and US-based).

• Collaborate with product managers, UX, engineering, and QA to execute the vision for the Procurement portfolio and refine requirements.
• Plan releases and support customers and partners with new features and deployments.
• Collaborate with peers to create and maintain a backlog that maximizes business value based on strategy and ROI.
• Elaborate requirements fully so engineering teams have prepared tasks to execute.
• Actively mitigate impediments to successful release completion and support internal teams and customers in understanding new features.
• Assist in presenting features, creating webinars, and running workshops at customer events.
• Travel 10-20% as needed.

• University degree in engineering/computer science or business administration.
• Minimum of 6-8 years in a B2B SaaS environment as a product manager.
• Domain knowledge of Procurement products, preferably experience with Supplier Management.
• Strength in grooming backlogs and elaborating requirements to a solid definition of ready.
• Expertise in supporting sprints and delivering releases.
• Technical and business acumen; ability to work with engineers, QA, UX, and product managers as a strong team player.
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment with a growth mindset and bias for action.
• Experience working in a diverse global team with complex products; willingness to give and receive feedback.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Engage with internal and external customers to resolve issues as a last line of support.
• Assist in facilitating workshops at customer events and creating enablement content.
• Strong hands-on mindset.
