Accountant Specialist

For the Regional Accounting team, we are seeking an enthusiastic General Ledger Accountant. Your focus will be ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes, as well as driving improvements and innovations. Your critical thinking, multitasking abilities, and strong technical accounting knowledge will be essential.

You will report to the Controller and collaborate closely with other finance departments in our Sao Paulo office.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Participate in month-end processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and supporting documentation;
  • Prepare monthly closing reports in accordance with US GAAP;
  • Review your own accounting work;
  • Communicate proactively about potential issues to the Controller;
  • Drive continuous process improvements and innovations;
  • Assist with statutory and SOX audits;
  • Support the team in meeting and exceeding department goals;
  • Manage ad hoc accounting and operational tasks;
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting;
  • Relevant accounting degree (e.g., SPD, ACCA, Bachelor in Accounting);
  • Strong IT skills, preferably including SAP;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English;
  • Ability to handle complex reconciliations;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Adaptability to a dynamic, high-change environment;
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and initiative-driven;
  • Creative and critical thinker;
  • Ability to prioritize effectively;
  • Accurate, analytical, responsible, and ownership-driven;
  • Resilient and agile;
  • Ambitious and inquisitive attitude.
