Open Source Enterprise Sales

Open roles in Canonical's Sales and Alliances teams. This is a general track role hiring for opportunities across all levels of seniority in our Sales and Alliances groups. Apply if you have outstanding revenue-generating experience from the Technology industry.

We are hiring Enterprise Sales and Alliances Sales representatives to drive revenue growth and meet our goals.

• Advancing a deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystem, and open source selling models
• Experience negotiating contracts and commercial terms
• Building and expanding strategic relationships
• Developing the strategy and development of sales engagements
• Raising awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu
• Delivering on targets and objectives; representing the voice of the partner and/or customer
• Travelling domestically and internationally to drive partnerships in person
• Aligning and supporting internal Field teams to identify, support, grow and transact
• Collaborating with Marketing, Sales Engineering and Product Management to achieve targets; representing partners/customers
• Leading executive interlocks between partners/customers and Canonical leadership

• Track record of delivering revenue results in the technology field
• Experience with Linux and open source
• Strong academic track record, regardless of seniority
• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or an equivalent narrative
• Confidence to speak up, give feedback, and share ideas
• Leadership and commitment to skills development and mentorship
• Passion for technology demonstrated by personal projects
• Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with motivated colleagues
• Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
• Diversity appreciation; effective in a multi-cultural, multi-national organization
• Thoughtfulness and self-motivation with a results-oriented mindset
• Ability to travel internationally for company events and client/partner meetings

Compensation is based on location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, there is a performance-driven annual bonus or commission. We offer a range of benefits aligned with our values. Compensation is reviewed annually and adjusted for exceptional performance.
