Amparo Insurance LLC is an innovative auto insurance company that aims to provide affordable, reliable insurance products to a niche base of multilingual customers. Amparo Insurance is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team to support our growth

RESUMES MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ENGLISH

Job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  1. Manage daily activities of the accounting department, including cash management, posting and reconciliation of customer payments, managing the AP cycle on , processing expense reimbursements, and managing credit card transactions on Divvy.
  2. Perform monthly closing activities, including account analysis, journal entries, maintaining depreciation and amortization schedules, accruals, and payroll and healthcare benefits reconciliations.
  3. Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports (financial statements, aging reports) and supporting analytics for management, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
  4. Provide management with financial data and forecasts to aid decision-making.
  5. Work directly with external CPA firms for annual financial statement audits.
  6. Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures for increased accuracy and efficiency.
  7. Develop staff through performance management, goal setting, and ongoing training.
  8. Assist the CEO with new company registration and annual report filings.
  9. Support special projects as needed.
  10. Demonstrate a self-starter mentality, taking initiative and driving tasks independently.
  11. Identify opportunities, challenges, and solutions proactively.
  12. Thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, maintaining accountability for deliverables.
  13. Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when managing multiple priorities.
  14. Communicate effectively across functions with internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
  1. 8+ years of accounting experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  3. Thorough understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  7. Experience with QuickBooks and is a plus.
  8. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, prioritize, and plan effectively.
