Salesforce Solution Architect

Overview

Salesforce Solution Architect (Fixed Term) – Remote, 6 months contract, at Safeguard Global.

We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Solution Architect to lead the lifecycle management of our CRM platform. This role involves coordinating cross-functional initiatives across Management, Marketing, Sales, IT, Operations, Finance, and other internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will recommend and articulate optimal Salesforce solutions, explain trade-offs, and propose innovative approaches for both existing and emerging challenges within Salesforce and its integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Salesforce data architecture, supporting robust reporting and analytics.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance Salesforce solutions aligned with business goals and best practices.
• Lead integration of Salesforce with external systems via APIs, middleware, and data tools.
• Define and enforce development standards, governance policies, and architectural best practices.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to optimize system speed, scalability, and usability.
• Oversee development of custom Salesforce components, including Apex, Lightning, and Visualforce.
• Evaluate, implement, and manage third-party tools and plugins to enhance platform functionality.
• Stay current with Salesforce releases and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Build and maintain DevOps pipelines using Salesforce DevOps Center.
• Provide strategic guidance on CRM usage and future roadmap opportunities.

Skills & Experience

• Salesforce Certified System Architect or Application Architect required.
• CPQ Specialist preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CRM, application development, cloud architecture, or related fields.
• 10+ years of Salesforce CRM experience, with at least 6 years focused on solution architecture or development.
• Proven leadership in enterprise-wide Salesforce initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Strong executive presence, business acumen, and communication skills.
• Experience identifying technical design risks and implementing governance strategies.
• Proficiency in release management, CI/CD pipelines, Metadata API, and deployment tools.
• Experience with multi-cloud Salesforce implementations and hybrid integrations.
• Deep understanding of platform-specific constraints (data volumes, limits, migrations).
• Demonstrated success leading end-to-end Salesforce projects.
• Strong technical expertise in Apex, Flows, LWC, Aura, DevOps, Pardot, AWS, APIs, and integrations.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL tools, and Salesforce data utilities (Data Loader, Workbench).
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce security models and data access controls.
• Proven ability to mentor teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills and Agile/Scrum experience.
