Location & Remote Work

Remote-first model: work from anywhere in Brazil. Optional office locations in São Paulo or Campinas or partner coworking spaces, up to twice a week.

Position Details

The primary goal for this position is to understand the company's data-related needs and develop a high-performance, self-service CDP (Customer Data Platform) with robust pipelines, ensuring reliability, scalability, performance, security, data quality, profiling, documentation, and lineage.

Responsibilities

• Be a technical reference for your team
• Oversee development and implementation of data pipelines and platform solutions with quality, reliability, and scalability
• Be hands-on when needed
• Discuss business and engineering requirements with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders, anticipating risks
• Build a great team through recruiting and coaching
• Evaluate performance, provide feedback, and identify development opportunities
• Set clear goals aligned with business objectives
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements or explain concepts
• Advocate for the value of data analytics and foster a data-driven culture

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• People-first mindset with extensive experience in people and careers management within data
• A very technical manager who can discuss data event-driven architecture in a modern stack
• Background in both Data Platform and Data Pipelines
• Expert in dimensional data modeling (star schema or snowflake) with knowledge of best practices
• Proficient in SQL and Python with clean, performant code
• Understanding of data lifecycle concepts such as architecture, lineage, governance, privacy
• Fluent in cloud infrastructure (AWS and GCP)
• Experience in designing and implementing event-driven architectures
• Keeps up with data engineering best practices and applies them to the team
• Good communication skills to collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Data and Ops
• Ability to deal with uncertainty and define strategic roadmaps aligned with business priorities
• English fluency is mandatory
