Overview

We are seeking a project control specialist to join the Joint Venture Projects Support Division (JVPS) under the Fuels Strategy & Capital Planning Department (FS&CPD). This division provides oversight and support to Aramco affiliates' projects within Downstream Fuels portfolios, offering independent assessments on project progress, identifying improvement areas, and recommending corrective actions.

Your primary role is to lead and conduct project health check assessments, advise on mitigation plans to maintain project cost and schedule, and provide project control services to the project team as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct project health check assessments for joint venture projects and present outcomes to the project sponsor.
  • Review and monitor project performance, presenting results to the project team and sponsor.
  • Prepare reports analyzing project progress during development or execution stages.
  • Perform project risk analyses.
  • Manage the database for project lessons learned.
  • Support the project team with best practices in project oversight and control.
  • Provide consultation in project management areas such as economics, governance, organization setup, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement, and risk management.
  • Assist in developing business plans, project feasibility studies, and technical development.
  • Analyze claims and advise on negotiation strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized program; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in project management, including at least 10 years in project control (planning, scheduling, and cost control).
  • PMP and PMI-SP certifications from PMI or equivalent.
  • Certification from AACEI or equivalent.
  • Experience in mega projects within refineries, petrochemicals, or infrastructure industries.
  • Experience in developing project scope, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Ability to enhance benchmarking databases from a cost and industry perspective.
