Data Product Manager

The Data Product Manager of the Bees Personalization team is responsible for designing and developing all data products within their squad.

This position's mission is to organize, prioritize, and execute the activities in the backlog, aligned with stakeholder needs, while always maintaining a critical and proactive perspective. The role involves measuring the value generated by each activity and the development effort, conducting product impact analyses, and using them to solve problems.

The Data Product Manager is responsible for leading all squad ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, planning, retrospectives, reviews, and refinements (both technical and product-related), as well as organizing the sprint agendas.

The role also requires documentation of all features and product descriptions, explaining models in an intermediate language between academic and corporate documentation, so they are easily interpretable by the technical team (scientists and engineers) and business stakeholders. Knowledge of agile methodologies and CRISP-DM, along with management tools like Confluence and DevOps, is crucial for this role.

This position requires deep business knowledge, as well as a technical background that allows programming skills in key languages like SQL, PySpark, and Python. Additionally, knowledge of data science fundamentals is required, including the ability to code main models and algorithms, interpret and critique results, and propose the best modeling approaches in collaboration with data scientists.

Data engineering knowledge is essential to contribute to discussions with data engineers and a basic understanding of BI modeling. The squad has a global scope, covering all major BEES business units and partner industries. Each squad will consist of 11 to 17 members, with the product manager as the team leader. Strong soft skills such as clear communication, didactics, leadership (both vertical and horizontal), flexibility, teamwork, and experience working with multiple stakeholders are key for success.

What You'll Do:

  • Take responsibility for leading teams as a Product Manager, ensuring successful delivery of features and services. Demonstrate ownership and responsibility for the product's success.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, becoming the authority on feature launches, product roadmaps, and user pain points. Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Collaborate effectively with teams such as engineering, design, product, data science, and commercial. Work closely with the Data team to leverage their expertise in driving data-informed decisions and insights.
  • Define success metrics for features or services and monitor performance.
  • Understand complex problems across business units, geographies, and product lines. Formulate hypotheses and translate them into requirements, identifying significant insights to guide product development.
  • Create roadmaps based on relevant requirements and dependencies. Ensure alignment with business and strategic goals.

What You Need:

  • Write detailed business requirements and user stories that serve as the basis for creating product specifications. Ensure clear communication and alignment with the development team.
  • Experience in managing an agile development process. Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient and effective product delivery.
  • Use data and metrics to support assumptions, develop business cases, and drive improvements.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to extract insights from data.
  • A desire to learn the processes, systems, and business functions needed to operate a world-class B2B sales operation. Continuously seek opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Desired knowledge in SQL and Data Analysis.

More About You:

  • You are driven by building world-class solutions that impact millions of users globally.
  • Experience working in an environment that uses and encourages a DevOps culture.
  • You are creative in solving problems and continually seek improvements for processes and solutions.
  • You can communicate clearly with your team and the company to identify problems and demands.
  • You have the autonomy to recognize current and new priorities, assessing the impact of your results on the final outcome.

Equal Opportunity & Affirmative Action:

AB InBev Growth Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, or other legally protected characteristics.
