We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Software Architect to join our global CI&T team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of scalable, resilient, and high-performing digital solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in multiple regions, supporting CI&T's clients in complex software modernization and innovation initiatives.
As a Software Architect, you will define technical strategies, champion engineering best practices, and provide architectural guidance while staying deeply engaged with development teams and delivery cycles. You will shape systems that are secure, performant, and future-ready, and mentor teams to deliver outstanding technical results.
Responsibilities:
Lead the technical vision and architectural design for projects across web and backend.
Facilitate architecture decision-making processes and drive the adoption of best-in-class frameworks and technologies.
Collaborate with delivery teams to guide solution design, system evolution, and technical implementation.
Conduct architecture assessments, define system interfaces, and ensure modular and reusable component design.
Guide development teams in DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Ensure alignment with non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, privacy, resilience).
Review code, provide technical mentorship, and cultivate a culture of clean code and continuous learning.
Participate in client meetings to understand requirements, propose viable solutions, and discuss trade-offs.
Maintain documentation, architectural diagrams, and technical decision logs.
Propose and evaluate proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate technical strategies.
Promote quality assurance, automated testing, observability, and system reliability practices.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies and propose innovations where appropriate.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Software Architect or Technical Lead in scalable digital environments.
Solid experience designing and implementing web/backend architectures.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Deep understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, serverless, event-driven).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration tools.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written).
Experience collaborating with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Next.js , or Vue.js .
Experience delivering and maintaining mobile applications (Android/iOS) using native or hybrid stacks.
Familiarity with design systems, accessibility, and responsive UI architecture.
Understanding of GDPR, HIPAA, or other regulatory requirements.
Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert) or software design.
Hands-on experience implementing security solutions using modern authentication frameworks (MSAL, JWT, OAuth).
Experience with relational (SQL Server) and non-relational (CosmosDB) databases.
Fluency in other languages e.g., Portuguese, Spanish.
