Lead Solutions Consultant, Application Security – OpenText. OpenText is a global leader in information management, focused on AI-first, future-driven, human-centered solutions. We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Solution Consultant specializing in Application Security Solutions to join our Cybersecurity team and work across the LATAM region, partnering with OpenText's sales organization to drive new business opportunities by delivering expert-level pre-sales support. You will help customers understand the value of OpenText's Application Security offerings, particularly our Fortify solutions, which secure the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), manage application vulnerabilities, and integrate security into modern DevSecOps practices.

Location considerations: São Paulo office hybrid highly preferred or remote in Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Belo Horizonte as alternate options only.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Solution Consultant specializing in Application Security Solutions to join our Cybersecurity team. In this role, you will work across the LATAM region, partnering closely with OpenText's sales organization to drive new business opportunities by delivering expert-level pre-sales support. You will play a key role in helping customers understand the value of OpenText's Application Security offerings, particularly our industry-leading Fortify solutions, which secure the SDLC, manage vulnerabilities, and integrate security into modern DevSecOps practices. This is a highly technical and customer-facing role that requires a deep understanding of application security frameworks, security testing tools (SAST, DAST, MAST, IAST), and software development environments.

You Are Great At

• Collaborating with sales to identify customer pain points and align solutions to business and technical needs.
• Delivering high-impact product demonstrations and presentations tailored to various stakeholders (developers, security teams, and business leaders).
• Leading technical Proofs of Concept (PoCs) that highlight the capabilities and value of OpenText's application security products.
• Acting as a trusted advisor in secure development, application vulnerability management, and DevSecOps strategy.
• Explaining and demonstrating the use of tools such as OpenText Fortify, including SAST, DAST, MAST and IAST technologies.
• Assisting with RFP/RFI responses and technical proposal development.
• Engaging in ongoing enablement of partners and internal teams around application security best practices and technologies.
• Representing OpenText at industry events, conferences, and webinars across the region.

What It Takes

• 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or consulting role focused on Application Security, DevSecOps, or Cybersecurity.
• In-depth knowledge of application security tools and concepts, such as SAST, DAST, MAST, IAST, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with security frameworks like OWASP Top 10, NIST, and a strong understanding of how to implement secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices including CI/CD, SDLC, and DevOps pipelines.
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, and common vulnerabilities like SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF.
• Hands-on experience with application security tools such as Fortify, Veracode, Checkmarx, or Synopsys.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Languages

• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Spanish is highly desirable.

Certifications (Desired)

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CSSLP.
• Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Fortify, Veracode) are a plus.
