We are seeking Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to direct and manage the dispensing of cannabis products to patients in our dispensary. In this role, you'll serve as the onsite medical authority, ensuring patients receive correct dosage along with education and counseling. You'll have the opportunity to serve as a one-on-one educator to our cannabis patients and complete prospective drug utilization reviews to assess: appropriateness of therapy; suitable strain, dosage, route, and duration; allergies and drug interactions; contraindications; and potential misuse. We're looking for someone passionate about medical cannabis who also has the medical expertise to help our patients use it responsibly and effectively.

In Pennsylvania, a pharmacist, D.O., or M.D. is required at the primary license location. Secondary locations may have a pharmacist, M.D., D.O., licensed nurse practitioner, or physician assistant.

Responsibilities
  1. Be in-store at all times during your scheduled shift to allow for the dispensation of cannabis products.
  2. Secure coverage for any time off. Communicate schedule changes with dispensary managers in advance, following fair scheduling practices.
  3. Assess patient certification, monitor restrictions, and help determine the best treatment course.
  4. Drive retail sales and patient retention.
  5. Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and laws.
  6. Communicate product restrictions to the team to ensure awareness of limitations on selection and quantity.
  7. Provide timely and accurate medication information to patients in person and over the phone.
  8. Educate patients about the properties and benefits of cannabis.
  9. Consult with patients and assess certifications to recommend treatment options.
  10. Stay updated on current research related to cannabis/marijuana.
  11. Assist with additional dispensary tasks as deemed fit, including accepting deliveries, inventory control, employee training, fulfilling online orders, and completing patient transactions.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be a registered Pharmacist in good standing in Pennsylvania or qualify under alternative licensee requirements (D.O., M.D., Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant).
  • At least 2 years of relevant pharmacy experience with a patient-focused approach.
  • Complete the PA Department of Health's Cannabis Health Professional training certificate.
  • Ability to understand cannabinoids and their interactions with the human body.
  • Experience with Point of Sale systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory and sales reporting.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or in teams.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Operate with professionalism and integrity, including handling confidential information.
  • Understand and comply with Green Thumb's rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Solid understanding of cannabis laws and regulations, with a passion to expand knowledge in the industry.
Additional Requirements
  • Pass all required background checks.
  • Remain compliant with all legal and company regulations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Be approved by the state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.
