Company Background: ABEC is a leading supplier to the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. ABEC's value lies in combining extensive experience with the ability to engineer, design, manufacture, commission, qualify, and service the entire bioprocess to reduce costs, shorten time to market, and maximize productivity. The company's products include process and equipment engineering/consulting services, site services, bioreactors, fermentation systems, filtration and chromatography systems, prep and hold systems, and cleaning/sterilization systems.
Position Summary: This management-level position involves analyzing and directing all IT activities within the organization, supervising IT staff, and ensuring continuous computer service through planning, leadership, and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all IT department staff and handle employee-related issues.
- Enforce company policies and procedures as part of management.
- Establish effective professional relationships across all organizational levels.
- Define IT goals in alignment with executive management and ensure ongoing computer service support.
- Forecast and plan for IT costs, equipment, and staffing needs.
- Stay updated with technological advancements and improve user productivity through new software implementations and resource policies.
- Develop long-term plans for application and system development, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Systems, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, Exchange, and Office.
- At least ten years' experience managing email systems and providing help desk support.
- Hardware installation, troubleshooting, and PC build experience.
- Network troubleshooting, including wired/wireless, remote desktop, and connectivity issues.
- Experience with SQL Server, smartphones, cabling, ERP/database, virtualization, and Microsoft Azure is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, TCP/IP, printers, and general networking.
