Position Details
- Position Title: Mechanical Assembler
- Reports To: Production Supervisor
- Location: Fermoy, Cork, Ireland
- Job Type: Full-time
Position Summary
As an ABEC Mechanical Assembler, you will assemble components or products using various tools and equipment according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail during fabrication.
- Operate hand tools, fabricating equipment, and measuring devices.
- Work on stainless steel fabrication, including cutting, grinding, polishing, welding, bending, and assembly.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Inspect and maintain shop equipment for safety and proper operation.
- Perform tasks safely and as assigned.
- Travel as required.
Qualifications
- Junior certificate or equivalent.
- Trade qualification (e.g., Pipe fitter / Plumber) is advantageous.
- Experience with stainless steel, tanks, piping, and vessels is beneficial.
- Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Proficient with hand tools and fabrication tools.
