Who will you be working with?

The Sr Systems Administration Engineer will work as a member of a seasoned Information Technology (IT) team.

How will you make a difference?

The Sr Systems Administration Engineer will plan, coordinate, and administer OpenShift environments for both development and customer-facing production environments that require deep hands-on development, design, and implementation with an end goal being a fully automated environment deployment using Ansible. This person will require deep, focused, and varied experience specifically with supporting production Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.

What will your typical day look like?

• Manage the container platform ecosystem (installation, upgrade, patching, monitoring).
• Assist in change management of container platform for new versions of OpenShift, Hotfixes, SysAdmin tasks, etc.
• Cluster capacity management and provisioning through automation of underlying hosts.
• Provides L3 engineering support.
• Works with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code, and/or perform unit testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

What do we want to know about you?

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in the Information Technology Field.
• Industry experience working with cloud technologies and handling DevOps Functions for complex systems.
• Experience in deploying microservices in OpenShift Cluster and Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience in VMware Virtualization infrastructure.
• Experience in CI/CD Pipeline.
• Experience in networking and understanding of network Protocols, DNS, VPN, and Load Balancing.
• Experience in shell, python scripting
• Must be willing to work occasional on-call weekday/weekend schedule
• Expertise with the RedHat OpenShift Container Platform.
• Expertise with Kubernetes.
• Expertise in RedHat Linux administration.
• Experience working with infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform or Ansible.
