Backend Developer

A U.S.based company that is transforming the financial and economic industry with their world-class cryptocurrency services, is looking for a Back-End Developer. The developer will be in charge of guaranteeing the stability and quality of the code while creating unit and integration tests. The company is developing a platform for cryptocurrency wallets and exchanges that will let users purchase, sell, and store different cryptocurrencies. This position requires 6-8 hours of overlap with the PST time zone. The company has managed to secure more than $677 in funding. This will be a long-term commitment that can lead to full-time opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support a range of initiatives, enhancements, and new features pertaining to the cryptocurrency trading platform
- Work on initiatives pertaining to financial security, back-end system updates, payment processing, etc.
- Organize the planning, development, scaling, and maintenance of production services while also putting together a service-oriented architecture
- Keep abreast of new developments in software development trends and technologies, and utilize them in work

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
- 3+ years of experience working with Golang
- Nice to have some Ruby or Ruby on Rails experience
- Some familiarity working with FinTech, Payments, Security, etc. is desirable
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
