Push your artistic talent to the limit on a team of world-class environment, character, and concept artists who strive to innovate and inspire.

**What You'll Do**:
Epic Games is looking for a Concept Artist to help us continue to shape the future of Fortnite. As a Concept Artist, you will work with the character concept art team to create unique and compelling characters that exude personality and style. You will use your artistic expertise in color, composition, shape, and visual design to help push our iconic style. Your craft expertise in character design will provide the inspiration to continue pushing the boundaries of what Fortnite means to our players.

**In this role, you will**:

- Work with the Leads and Art Directors to ideate and develop character outfits that Fortnite players love
- Explore ideas that merge current aesthetics with a fantastical battle-ready appeal
- Develop designs that are relatable and aspirational to teens and young adults today

**What we're looking for**:

- Knows what is relevant and cool with teens and young adults today and applies it in their designs
- Ability to put a fantastical spin on characters that are aspirational to teens and young adults today
- Ability to create character designs in a variety of body shapes, ethnicity, and aesthetics
- Deep understanding of fundamental art principles (color, composition, value/ lighting, form)
- Ability to render at multiple levels of fidelity, starting with coarse thumbnails, and ending with a polished, stylized character concept art
- Demonstrates drawing and painting abilities that translate well into 3D models (detailed articulation from multiple angles)
- Demonstrate a strong ability to comprehend and align with the artistic style and direction of Fortnite
