**Our Work with the CSE in Brazil**

In the best of circumstances, when companies establish new agriculture, forestry or extractives ventures in developing countries, the people living there can see enormous benefits - increasing incomes, improved local infrastructure, greater access to services, and more.

Unfortunately, all too often, these operations instead lead to serious conflicts with local communities or workers, creating significant hardship for everyone involved. There is a serious lack of trained social professionals from the regions where the companies operate to help them integrate social impacts and engagement into their operations.

CSE Brazil provides top-tier guidance and training in social technologies for professionals across various sectors for effective company management. The training of these professionals directly impacts practices within companies. It is crucial to note that the training encompasses social management technologies, such as practices for obtaining a social license to operate, best practices for conflict resolution, and executing social projects within the territory, specifically aligning with FPIC principles.

**Your Role**

As **Project Officer**, you will be primarily responsible for:

- Define action plans in line with the programme's objectives and the partners' ambitions
- Ensure follow-up and implementation of actions with various teams
- Coordinate with partners and other project actors
- Develop a network of technical and scientific partners
- Provide expertise in forestry and circular economy to all projects in Brazil

**Your Profile**

You excel in building human connections and possess the ability to explain your field to diverse audiences. Your early expertise in the forestry sector for pulp and paper production showcases a promising foundation. You have a keen interest in understanding the dynamics of the industry, sustainable production requirements, and ensuring human rights are upheld.

Your enthusiasm extends to vital topics such as preventing deforestation, championing conservation, promoting a circular economy in paper production, and advocating for best practices in both work environments and community engagement. As a recent graduate, you bring a solid understanding of the fundamentals and a strong desire to further deepen your knowledge in these areas. Your commitment to collaborating with various stakeholders and your ability to present compelling proposals positions you as a valuable asset to any team.
- Working Conditions_:

- Completed higher education in relevant field preferable

- 1 year of experience minimum
- Fluent in Portuguese, English & Spanish (spoken and written)
- Full-time (40Hours/week)
- Based in Piracicaba, SP (Brazil)
- Citizenship or valid work authorization required
