Operations Assistant I

**Job Function / Purpose**
- Assist and provide technical support to wireline Operations.
- Drive the Wireline Truck into the Rig
- Maintain and certificate the Truck integrity

**Essential Duties**
- Achieve Competence in the following tasks for multiple types of wireline services:

- Assist wireline services using Gyrodata, Inc. wireline units and supporting downhole survey operations and logging instruments at client jobsites
- Assist wireline and surveying services required for basic client jobs, including open well jobs, top drive entries
- Assist routine wireline equipment performance checks, preventative maintenance of related tools, wireline tool assembly, testing and basic troubleshooting
- Assist servicing of well entry gear and assisting with changing wireline on all units
- Operating wireline units, including conveying gyro and steering tools
- Checking wireline equipment at client jobsite and assembling tools
- Assist rig-up procedures and installations at client jobsites
- Assist safe operation of crane and sling loads
- Assist pre-job preparation of wireline equipment, wireline units, and surveyor equipment on combined service jobs and ensuring completion of pre-job logistics
- Removing and disassembling tools and equipment in the field
- Attending to post-job shop responsibilities, including cleaning, servicing, and labeling equipment, post-job office equipment testing, and accurate and timely submission of post-job paperwork and related files
- Preparing and maintaining documentation for client jobs, including wireline logs and journals, job tickets, daily reporting, end-of-well reports and all applicable administrative paperwork
- Assist general shop duties for tools and equipment, including picking up deliveries of parts and equipment and washing wireline units
- Assist repair and maintenance of wireline units and prepare wireline units for third party inspections
- Assist more senior Wireline Operators in performance of operations at client job sites for any type of entry, including circulating heads, side door sub entry, side entry, modified swivel, high pressure grease control units, pump in sub and pump down equipment
- Assist more senior Wireline Operators and Survey Specialists in the field as necessary, particularly for magnetic and pressure control jobs
- Maintain safe driving records and comply with all Gyrodata, Inc. certifications per local and client requirements
- Acquire Crane Operator Training if required in area of operation
- Complete 5 Day Cold Water Survival, Fire and CPR course
- Submit to and comply with all applicable Gyrodata, Inc. and pre-employment screenings and qualifications, including audiograms, physicals and drug testing
- Comply with all Gyrodata, Inc. and client safety and training requirements and providing corresponding documentation, including Jobsite Awareness forms and site work permits
- Travel as directed by Operations Coordinator to perform job duties, and remain on job site
- Represent Gyrodata, Inc. in a positive and professional manner and communicate clearly with client representatives

**HSE Function**
- Comply with applicable safety standards and maintain a safe working environment

**QA Function**
- Comply with applicable quality assurance standards

**Required Qualifications**
- Technical Diploma (Mechanic and electric)
- 5 years minimum experience as a Wireline Assistant
- Clean motor vehicle record as per local requirement
- SafeGulf and SafeLand Certifications
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (license level D)
- H2S Certification
- Defensive Safe Driver Certification
- Crane Operator Certification
- Ability to work non-office hours and weekends as necessary
- Ability to record data and demonstrate good record-keeping skills
- Ability to perform duties according to on call schedule
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Ability to travel internationally

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Valid commercial driver’s license (License level D)
- Crane Certification
- Pressure Control Certification

**Working Conditions**
- The job is performed in an office environment with mínimal exposure to safety hazards. The job requires some physical exertion, including sitting, standing, occasional light lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. The job requires operation of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, copiers, etc. The job requires following written and oral instructions, attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to work with others and ability to meet deadlines. The job requires following established policies and procedures, meeting quality and safety standards and regular attendance.
