**Job Purpose**

As a Warehouse Leader, your primary purpose is to oversee and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping of goods and feed production line. You will lead a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient operations, accurate inventory management, and adherence to safety protocols to meet customer demand and organizational goals.

**Job Context**

Operating within the warehouse department, the Warehouse Leader works closely with stockman, logistics teams and production assembly lines maintain the smooth flow of materials and products through the warehouse facility.

**Job Dimensions**
- Reports to: Supply Chain Manager
- Manages: Warehouse Staff (Stockmen)
- Collaborates with: Logistics, Engineering and Production Team

**Key Accountabilities**

1. Team Leadership:

- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among team members.

2. Inventory Management:

- Oversee the receiving, storing, and organizing of incoming inventory and materials.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

3. Order Fulfillment:

- Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping activities to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and meet quality standards.

4. Warehouse Operations:

- Establish and enforce warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and best practices.
- Monitor and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency.

5. Equipment Maintenance:

- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Schedule routine maintenance and repairs as needed to minimize downtime.

6. Quality Assurance:

- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory and orders.
- Address and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and warehouse activities.
- Generate reports on key performance metrics, such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role in production environment.

**Behavioural Competencies**
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures for warehouse operations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Forklift certification and other relevant certifications are desirable.
