**Your Day to Day**

**As a Senior Database Administrator, you would be working on**:

- Design, build, implementation, and supporting of the automation that makes our mission-critical data stores and developer teams that need them both scalable and secure, as a member of our DevOps Data Infrastructure team
- Programming utility scrips, developer tooling, GitOps type workflow, and/or monitoring probes to ensure our customer base remain highly effective
- Design and implement software to automate, monitor, simplify, or secure common data-related developer workflows; architect data stores and systems to facilitate building microservices that depend on them
- Follow a DevOps model: all teams, including product developers, are on call for their own services. Our team has a follow-the-sun, 12-hour on call schedule shared among 10+ people

**What We’re Looking For**

**As a Senior Database Administrator, your background will look like**:

- 5+ years administering Postgres
- 5+ years Bash Scripting
- 2+ years provisioning and configuration automation tools, such as Terraform and Ansible
- 2+ years desired deploying RDBMS solutions to AWS or OCI
- 5+ years desired in any of the of the following: MySQL, Aurora, Oracle
- 2+ years desired experience with one or more open-source non-relational data stores, such as Cassandra, Kafka, and/or Redis
- Scripting: Python - good to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- A strong mix of relevant hands-on technical skills, including Linux systems administration, database administration, software development on Linux; development and operations of highly distributed systems would be helpful

**En tant que administrateur de base de données senior, vous travaillerez sur**:

- La conception, la construction, la mise en œuvre et le soutien de l'automatisation qui rend nos entrepôts de données critiques, et les équipes de développeurs qui en ont besoin, à la fois évolutifs et sécurisés.
- La programmation de scripts utilitaires, d'outils de développement, de flux de travail de type GitOps et/ou de sondes de surveillance pour garantir que nos clients développeurs reste hautement efficaces.
- Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des logiciels pour automatiser, surveiller, simplifier ou sécuriser les flux de travail courants des développeurs liés aux données ; architecturer des entrepôts et des systèmes de données pour faciliter la construction de micro-services qui en dépendent.
- Suivre un modèle DevOps : toutes les équipes, y compris les développeurs de produits, sont responsables et inputables pour leurs propres services. Notre équipe a un horaire d'astreinte de 12 heures par jour, réparti entre plus de 10 personnes.

**Ce que nous recherchons**

**En tant que administrateur de base de données senior, **votre expérience ressemblera à**:

- 5+ ans d'administration de PostgreSQL
- 5+ ans Bash Scripting
- 2+ ans d'utilisation d'outils d'automatisation de provisionnement et configuration tels que Terraform or Ansible.
