Job Title: SEO Analyst

Reports to: Xiang Tak, Chief Content Officer (CCO)

Type of position: Part-time / 20 hours a week

**Salary**: $12.50 per hour

Probation: No Probation

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

A UP Venture Media SEO analyst helps an organization increase the number of people viewing its website(s) by analyzing data on website performance and staying on top of ever-changing SEO trends.

**GENERAL DESCRIPTION/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
- carrying out keyword research using software such as Moz to optimize web content
- tracking metrics such as organic traffic, conversion rates, and time spent on the page using platforms such as Google Analytics
- monitoring and reporting on search trends and SEO performance
- analysing websites and social media pages to make recommendations for improvement
- performing competitor analysis to identify content gaps and areas for improvement in website design
- staying up to date with new SEO, social media, and digital marketing industry trends, tools, and practices, which are constantly changing
- using Excel spreadsheets to compile reports
- implementing link-building strategies
- making suggestions for SEO-friendly content creation
- providing keyword insights and SEO advice for other teams within the organization

**REQUIREMENTS**

- Analytical skills and the ability to work with data sets of varying sizes

- Accurate data manipulation
- Deep understanding of what creates consumer trends
- Ability to content management systems to assign and complete tasks
- Bilingual

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Excellent writing and editing skills with extreme attention to detail.
- Comprehensive understanding of SEO and best practices for branded writing.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A creative approach to client briefs and content marketing goals.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with other team members in a fully remote environment.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT**

This job operates in a professional office hybrid environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit at a computer for a length of time.

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE**
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in an SEO-related role, such as SEO assistant, to develop their knowledge of SEO and provide evidence of strategies they have implemented in the past with positive results. The best SEO analysts continuously improve their knowledge and build networks with others in the field throughout their careers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computing, Communications, or a related field.
