Pr & Communications Lead

In this role you will report into the Global CMO of Media.Monks, working closely with the wider Brazil Marketing team. You will work to achieve greater brand awareness in the Brazilian market through various PR efforts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain working relationships with journalists and media outlets, acting as the company point-of-contact on behalf of our teams and people. Draft press releases and pitches to inform them of campaigns, points of view, thought leadership, awards, projects, research and other announcements. Craft strategic plans (hooks, insights and opportunities to strengthen our reputation within the industry) and media materials, as needed.
- Coordinate with our Head of Awards to make sure our best work, all-star people, and company as a whole is submitted for the right recognition.
- Support your region's business, growth and people/culture initiatives by publicizing and promoting our perspectives and work via national, regional and local media.
- Collaborate with internal areas such as People to identify opportunities, ensure news is shared internally, and employ our people to amplify such news.
- Develop a comprehensive crisis communication plan to address potential PR issues effectively. Act as the company's spokesperson during a crisis, maintaining transparency and ensuring consistent messaging.
- Facilitate client collaboration and conversation as needed on press releases, blog posts and other communication efforts to share work, awards and other news.
- Maintain local speakers bureaus for PR opps, both for executives and for emerging talent/leaders, at industry conferences and associations.
- Work closely with our global Marketing team to adapt campaigns into regionally relevant stories.
- Work closely with other PR leads on the team for knowledge sharing, global campaigns, and translating content region to region.
- Report on results and impact ongoing, including contributing to a weekly overview sent to a global distribution list.
- Develop strategy for earned presence at regional events mapping to Media.Monks growth priorities and strategic objectives, representing Media.Monks with on-the-ground support and coverage, as needed.
- Work with our content writing team to translate global marketing themes into relevant activities for the region, such as assisting in the creation of marketing content, suggesting topics, overseeing the execution of local content-driven initiatives, and co-marketing opportunities with partners.

**Skills**:

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese. Spanish is a plus.
- Keen understanding of business principles with a pursuit to identify and maximize growth opportunities.
- Both passionate and knowledgeable about marketing, technology, and the Brazilian market - with interest in learning the in's and out's of our fast-changing industry. Preferred background in PR or marketing services within an agency.
- Relevant media & press contacts in Brazil.
- Ability to act as the expert for Brazil, consulting and advising others on best approaches to PR and external communications.
- Be able to establish and nurture trustful relationships with internal leadership and build an extensive knowledge of the organizational structure.
- Hands-on attitude, understanding that there will be operational activities within the scope.
