PURPOSE OF POSITION: Responsible for supporting the Regional Supply Chain Manager (RSCM) in organizing, leading, contributing, and facilitating Supply Chain Management (SCM) assessment focusing on Material Management topics regionally with each of the affiliates. The main goal of the Regional Demand Planner is to monitor the accuracy of forecast provided to Headquarters plant´s 3 months prior to shipment, based on Sales forecast, current demand and inventory levels. Stimulating process discussions, alignments, continuous improvement on planning, increasing Master Data footprint in LAM and standardization. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Providing supply chain expertise to adequate integration of supply chain management in forecast planning, replenishment design/model and implementation;
- Participate in Global forums representing Latin America;
- Lead benchmark forums between regional countries focusing on planning / forecasting, providing technical expertise to affiliates for material management topics;
- Ability to conduct project-level SCM and strategic activities in a timely and professional manner with sufficient attention to detail in deliverables and regular reporting having an end-to-end approach;
- Facilitate exchanges of best practices and work with partners and counterparts in the specific field and planning areas, supporting on problem solving and development of people skills;
- Coordinate with 5 sales org in LAM the forecasting of 5.000 SKU´s;
- Coordinate Inventory coverage policies and implement replenishment model;
- Planning inventory flow, analyzing statistical data, and generating forecasting solutions;
- Monitor and generate applicable KPIs for area;
- Master Data control for New SKUs representing LATAM towards HQ;
- Assist LATAM with HQ related to grade wheel, volume, raw-material and production constrains. OPERATIONAL TOPICS: - Support with product life cycle related planning topics in agreement with sales, marketing, and other supply chain functions. PROJECTS/DAILY WORK: - Support with initiatives related to forecasting / demand planning, representing the regional view and standardization process;
- Implement new key performance metrics process which include Continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and report actions to Supply Chain area;
- Manage Teams to implement new initiatives related to planning activities;
- Product Portfolio Management;
- Trade Promotion Management;
- Gather and Prepare Data;
- Define Process Models;
- Implement and Monitor. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Educational qualifications: Master’s degree in business engineering, Administration business studies or comparable degree from logistics / supply chain field;
- Advanced English and Spanish (fluency desirable);
- Proficient in handling pivots, graphs and spreadsheets;
- Master Data (SKU, Partners); RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: - SAP experience, processes, and interfaces to related process / SAP modules (Order to Cash, Material Management, Logistic);
- Deep understanding of supply chain & planning (demand / production) processes;
- Planning / Forecasting experience, ideally with planning tools such as OMP+ or APO. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: - Assertive communication with different hierarchy levels and company areas;
- Strong analytical and conceptional skills;
- Personal initiative and willingness to take over responsibility;
- Team player and a “can-do” mentality.
