BI Developer

We are recruiting for a client, an innovative start-up in the Data and AI space, building a cutting-edge platform to transform how businesses access and analyse their data. They are passionate about delivering a top-tier business intelligence solution that enable their clients to make informed decisions faster.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, and deploy business intelligence dashboards and reports using Apache Superset.
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering and Analytical Engineering teams to serve scalable, high-performance solutions for large-scale data sets, ensuring easy maintenance.
- Develop and maintain self-service BI capabilities, allowing users to access and analyse data efficiently.
- Build custom data visualisations using open libraries to present complex data in an engaging and intuitive way.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data sources and optimize data pipelines.
- Work with the DataOps function to deploy and manage the distributed Apache Superset architecture on AWS.
- Ensure security through both role-based and row-level controls.
- Troubleshoot and optimise the BI platform to improve performance and scalability.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience with Apache Superset and Python for developing dashboards and reports.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing including Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
- Experience with data visualization best practices and UI/UX principles for BI.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment, and communicate complex data insights effectively.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Kubernetes, and distributed systems is a plus.
- Experience with open visualisation libraries such as D3.js, Plotly, Matplotlib, or Seaborn is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with data transformation tools like Apache Flink will be considered an asset.
- Work experience within an iGaming or Sportsbook organisation preferred.
