**Department Overview**: Our teams develop mission critical software for handling emergency (911, 112) calls.

This platform connects our on-premise call handling solution with our leading edge CommandCentral call handling cloud product. The teams are responsible for end-to-end software development including: design, implementation, testing, delivery and maintenance. We work in well balanced agile teams with a full range of software development experience and the embedded mindset of DevOps culture and continuous delivery approach.
**- As an Architect / Senior Software Engineer on the Emergency Call Handling team in Sao Paulo, you will contribute to extending capabilities of our mission critical platform and enhancing the existing technologies we use.
- Hands-on expert software developer with deep understanding of development ecosystems, technical leader or key technical contributor, having significant impact on the organization
- Demonstrates versatility to easily move between teams and make immediate contributions
- The ability to perceive business opportunities and the way in which technology can be used to satisfy them. Influences product technology based on current trends. Identifies technical debt and drives towards its reduction.
- Educates others in software craftsmanship principles. Consistently refactors existing code.
- Coaches and mentors individuals and groups in day to day work
- Ability to adjust communication to technical and non-technical audiences including Director and VP level.

***Basic Requirements**:

- 12 + years experience in building products and driving their architecture
- Practical knowledge about microservices or other distributed system and REST API
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or related fields
- Strong English language skills allowing for efficient communication with peers and stakeholders in North America and Poland
- Ability to participate in various activities as a leader from the technical or managerial point of view.
- Ability to focus not only on daily activities, but looking beyond - helping to organize work and planning for the team.
- Should engage himself/herself in complex tasks and defining, maintaining architecture for the team.
- Ability to work without supervision from other members of the team.
- Ability to balance between technical excellence and business needs
- Ability to make a strong impact on the team, as well impact on the product and department.

Must have:

- Java and/or C#
- Kubernetes or alternative
- Docker or alternative
- Virtualization technologies (VMWare, KVM)
- Cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure or distributed systems
- Automated testing experience
- Messaging systems (RabbitMQ preferred)
- Good understanding of modern SDLC & processes
- SQL and NoSQL DB experience
- Observability and monitoring experience
- Strong understanding of DevOps culture and principles

- GStreamer experience
- Networking knowledge
- Angular experience
