**Pay Band**: 4/H - R$3,089, $2.959.000 COP or 18,226 MXN
**Contract Type**: Indefinite
**Location**: Brazil, Colombia or Mexico.

**Role Purpose**

This role will support and maintain internal and external communications with project and business counterparts in the region/cluster, implementing agencies andservice providers. It will also be assisting the execution of the communications strategy along with maintaining project documentation, including metrics.

**Main accountabilities but not limited to the following**
- Assists to ensure compliance of activities with communication strategy by following communication principles and guidelines.
- Participates in developing and evaluating feasibility, efficiency, and quality communication materials for region/cluster.
- Assists in coordinating communication activities and events of the project and partners.
- Assists in conducting reputation raising activities, events etc. for target audiences.
- Disseminates communication materials to relevant stakeholders.
- Implements communications strategy and plan, ensuring alignment to regional communications strategy and plan, and effective impact.
- Applies analytical approaches to identify and assess current state of communications, define opportunities for improvement, develop and implement agreed projects and initiatives, ensuring consistency with regional communications strategies, plans and approaches and global strategy where appropriate.
- Develops appropriate communications initiatives and interventions to support marketing strategy, business needs, aligned to global and regional communications strategies, plans and approaches.
- Prepares complex information clearly, producing tailored presentations, about the case for cluster communications initiatives.
- Builds an in-depth understanding of the region/cluster operational context, opportunities and challenges for communications.
- Makes appropriate linkages to issues across the broader organisation, to ensure that the development of communications projects and initiatives is based on informed business insight and joined-up thinking.
- Proactively seeks internal customer and other stakeholder feedback to monitor satisfaction with the standard of communications/media relations and PR advice and business support provided, enabling improvements to be made where issued are identified.
- Actively participates within the Marketing Community of Practice and communications networks.
- Develops peer/personal networks within and outside Marketing to enhance own knowledge and expertise.

**Requirements of the role**
- Experience in managing communications within a large and complex organisation
- Experience in providing advice and guidance on internal and external communications
- Proven record of editorial experience (proofreading, translation, knowledge of different content types, etc.)
- Creative approach to implementing and evaluating communication activities
- Practical experience of using social media to extend reach of an organisation including through campaigns
- Relevant degree e.g. communications, journalism, marketing, or equivalent level of experience.
- The British Council systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English at B1 level is required.
- Portuguese at Advanced level is also essential..
