**About the Role**:
If you like working in a fast paced environment, solving and identifying real safety problems and translating them into clear and impactful actions this is a great opportunity. This role is part of Uber's Safety Operations team - within the Global Safety organization, but also embedded deeply with the LatAm Mobility+Delivery businesses.
This role requires a combination of strong program management skills to run complex initiatives across the Region and with various teams such as Product, Global Safety, Legal, Comms and Regional team members together with a good skills in operations management to be able to lead and manage existing operations with 3rd party Vendors
The right hire will have a strong strategic mentality and great ability to manage multiple stakeholders and their requirements
**What You’ll Do**:
Screening
- Accountable for 3rd party Vendor’s performance, operational monitoring and improvements and honor to contractual service level (1 or multiple subregions)
- Diagnose root causes of operational underperformance or inefficiencies, and partner closely to develop robust actions plans to correct them, updating existing operational models
- Forecast, control and optimize allocated budget for the sub region assigned
- Run pilots and experiments to explore process improvements to keep us as efficient as possible, optimizing for funnel conversion and cost reduction.
Safety Access Portfolio
- Lead end to end of complex projects which have multiple dependencies from cross functional teams for both Screening and Identity
- Active participation on the design of the team’s portafolio according to priorities and OKRs
- Leading special projects to advance safety
Technical Set Up
- Advocate for Regional requests to enhance existing technical set up tooling with Central and technical teams and ensure full deployment on the region
- Monitor performance of current technical integration with existing vendor or manual python automations and ensure timely action is taken on issues / escalations
Connect and Build
- Partner with cross functional team within the Region, Central Safety and peers across other regions to demonstrate on efforts and initiatives
- Work with customers across mobility and delivery to effectively represent their needs and bring forward Safety programs and products
- Identify in a timely manner other areas’ projects that may represent an impact or an opportunity for Safety Access and Identity objectives
**What You’ll Need**:
- 3+ years leading medium to large scale Projects and knowledge in methodologies (PMP, SCRUM)
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Business or other quantitative fields.
- Basic SQL knowledge required (Intermediate preferred)
- Experience navigating / leading operational processes preferred
- Superb communication and stakeholder management skills
- Very proactive, self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills
