**Job Description**:
Position Overview

The Accounting Analyst will support the Finance Department by performing various accounting functions including journal entries reviews, reconciliations, tax calculations, and reports. This role will also coordinate activities with Accounting and Tax local service provider as well work closely with in-house Billing, Treasury and HR team. This position reports to the Brazil Controller and will eventually interact with the VP Finance and Country Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversees the timely, accurate preparation and delivery of monthly financial statements, working with external accounting firm providing inputs (accruals, reversals, etc) and being the first level of review of the month-end trial balances.
- Ensure the compliance of the projects with accounting standards (IFRS) and company policies.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, report discrepancies and work to keep the books clean and updated.
- Prepare revenue recognition process according to IFRS 15 and implement IFRS 16 with support of global accounting team.
- Support monthly review of calculation of the sales taxes (PIS, COFINS, ISS, and ICMS DIFAL).
- Support monthly review of calculation of the corporate taxes (Income Tax and Social Contribution under Lucro Real tax regime), deferred taxes and tax losses.
- Support the review of all statutory obligations associated with the accounting and tax matters.
- Provide support on establishing process to calculate the project margin reviews (P&L by cost/profit center).
- Participate in audits in the sector, whenever necessary, preparing and making available the documents and information requested.
- Prepare periodic reports for the management.
- Assist management with ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in the related field: Finance, Accounting, Administration, Economics, etc.
- +3 years’ experience working as accounting/tax analyst
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Self-motivated, hand-on and proactive
- Knowledge (basic) of internal audit

Desired Qualifications:

- Knowledge of renewable energy service industry, preferably.
- Possesses exceptional organizational skills and is an effective time manager.
- Ability to adapt and work well in a rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver while working under time pressure on multiple assignments.
- Highly effective problem solving.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Advanced English.
