Iteration Manager

**Your Role and Responsibilities**
Iteration Manager - 3nd Shift

Our mission in CIO is to create a productive hybrid cloud environment for IBMers. Our strategy is to lead with design and user experience, to engineer the systems that run the business, and to innovate to transform the business.

You will work with First Line Leaders, other leaders, technical experts, and you will use your own previous knowledge as Iteration Manager to support the Squads achieving required deliverables.

A typical day may include:

- Facilitate the Squad's plan.
- Communicate to leadership about progress of incidents/problems and potential issues and risks.
- Manage and monitor the Squad's critical matters.
- Coordinate IBMers involved with Squad's activities.
- Establish and monitor the Squad's activities schedule using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow.
- Take action in agreement with the First Line Leader, for the proper allocation of resources within the Squad.
- Schedule periodic meetings with the team to analyze the progress of incident and problem resolutions.
- Report the progress to IBM Executives and report when there is a need to escalate issues and risks.
- Ensure that the ceremonies defined in the Agile framework take place and have the expected result.
- Learning new skills and enhancing existing ones through our training plan. Later in your career at IBM you, like all employees, will be required to complete at least 40 hours of training each year, earning badges, and certifications.
- Using IBM’s Slack channels to interact with other colleagues across the company on business, technical, and social topics.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
Required Professional Expertise:

- Experience as Iteration Manager
- Must have a technical background (IT infrastructure and operational systems)
- Domain in Agile methodology and ability to manage Squads in Agile Framework
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM1 or any other)
- Support the team to deliver the backlog within the priorities defined by the PO(s)
- Ability to report status to the executive layer.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Interpersonal skills to deal with different profiles of people in the team.
- Degree in an IT area or equivalent experience (computer science, information security, systems analysis, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork, interest in learning new technologies.
- Availability to work on a flexible schedule, including night shift and weekends
- High level spoken and written English

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
Preferred Professional Expertise:

- Experience using Jira and ServiceNow
- Experience in Perform Conflict Resolution
- Experiencing support (or implementing) one or more IBM offerings (examples: Power, IBM Z, Storage)
- Knowledge of Network technologies
- Experience in working with global teams, with people from several locations.
- Autonomy to work without supervision, targeting to achieve agreed-upon goals, and with innovative mindset.
- zOS concepts - any hands-on experience would be great
