**Job description**:
**Platform Engineering Team Lead**:
I'm partnered with one of our largest FinTech clients as they look to find a new team plead for one of their platform engineer ring teams. This team plays a crucial role in my clients Kakfa based streaming platform and as the leader you'll be the sole person responsible for the mission, vision and direction of the team.

You'll partner with other squad leaders as part of a flexible agile structure to build and deliver specific product features as they team will really look to optimise their platform function over the next 12 months.This is a leadership role meaning whilst still remaining hands on you'll be responsible for measuring performance, 1v1s and performance reviews.

Desired Tech Skills:

- 6+ years hands on experience working with Kafka and ideally time spent leading a team delivering streaming technology
- Strong hands on work with Kubernetes
- Good cloud knowledge on mainly AWS but GCP and Azure also beneficial
- Experience designing systems that utilise modern distributed software architecture patterns

The role is based in Galway with a hybrid office set-up.
