**The Role**: Research Analyst, Latin American Gas

**The Location**: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

**The Team**: We are part of t he Gas, Power, and Climate Solutions team that includes various analysts who work on power and renewables, clean technology, natural gas/LNG/hydrogen, climate and energy scenarios and energy transition. This position is for the Latin American gas team, with team members in USA and Brazil.

**The Impact**: You will focus on gas markets across the region to provide quantitative and qualitative research, create regular and stand-alone reports, contribute to consulting projects, and support local events for a wide client base from across the energy value chain.

**Responsibilities**:
Evaluate, model, and analyze natural gas market fundamentals including supply, demand, prices, transportation of natural gas and low carbon gases in Latin America.
Collect data, maintain databases and in-house models.
Responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of a range of reports and presentations that underpin our retainer services.
Contribute to consulting projects as required and as driven by business needs.
Establish and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs in addition to ensuring they know the capabilities of S&P Global Commodity Insights.

**What We’re Looking For**:
Bachelor’s degree.
Ability to write reports in English, outlining team’s research clearly and concisely. Fluency in English; fluency in Spanish a plus
Team player with an ability to work independently with and without deadlines and prioritizing a complex workload.
Self-motivated and driven to develop new ideas and insights.
Attention to detail.
Comfortable with client presentations.
Knowledge of Python, SQL or similar programming and data handling languages a plus

**Note**: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in Brazil

**Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only )**: 8
