ABOUT WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION

**The team you will be a part of**:

- The Data Science team is responsible for modeling complex business problems, discovering business insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques. In addition to advanced analytics skills, this role is also proficient at integrating and preparing large, varied datasets, architecting specialized database and computing environments, and communicating result.

**This role in summary**:
Under the direction of the Director of Talent Analytics, you will lead the effort to take Whirlpool to the next level of talent analytics deployment globally. You will work alongside each center of expertise (COE), business HR, HR operations team, and the global HR reporting team to provide meaningful insights in order to improve the culture and outcomes of our organization.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Establish both long term and short term data model for analysis
- Provide analysis support for various initiatives across HR
- Lead the deployment of our global workforce planning solution using Anaplan software
- Serve as local POC for the SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics and Planning suite
- Establish productive relationships with cross functional partners such as Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, etc. including but not limited to the ability to influence others
- Lead the data quality strategy for the global HR organization
- Evaluate current and future technology stack to determine best cost / quality technologies to invest in.
- Focus on long term and short term shareholder, customer and employee value

**Minimum requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in HR, Data science, or related field At least 5+ years relevant work experience
- Experience in cloud computing environment (GCP, AWS) Understanding of ETL methods used in cloud computing environment (lambda functions)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and teamwork skills with all levels of management
- Advanced skills and experience working with Excel and/or Google Sheets Experience with R, Python, JMP, or similar statistical packages
- Experience with Tableau desktop and server or similar visualization software
- Strong project management skills Self-starter; initiate and drive actions for process improvements
- Motivated to take ownership of problems and drive the organization to a resolution
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
- Constructive challenge of the status quo.

**Preferred skills and experiences**:

- Advanced degree in data science or HR analytics
- Experience working for a company utilizing cutting edge analyic practices in the human resources space
- Familiarity with machine learning / AI technologies
- Understand the key drivers of the business to see beyond the numbers
