**Organizational Setting**

The project UTF/BRA/089/BRA contributes to the consolidation of the productive and socioeconomic organization of family farming in Brazil, through the implementation of innovative and priority actions in the formulation of national public policies.

**Reporting Lines**

The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil.

**Technical Focus**

Develop studies and technical documents that support proposals for structural measures to strengthen the milk production chain in Brazilian Family Farming

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Perform diagnosis of the milk chain in Brazil based on secondary data;
- Collect and systematize primary data on the milk chain, with a territorial cut-off to be defined by the coordination of SEAB/MDA;
- Prepare technical documents to support the Interministerial Working Group constituted by Decree No. 11,771, of November 9, 2023;
- Prepare and deliver the products provided for in this Term of Reference;
- Present the results of the assignment in pertinent forums, during the term of the contract and at the request of the SEAB/MDA coordination;
- Participate in meetings/consultations related to the execution of the assignment

**CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING**:
**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Sciences or Specialization or Master’s Degree or Doctorate, according to the table of knowledge areas of CAPES/CNPq
- In case of having a Bachelor’s degree, at least 5 years of experience in programs or public policies aimed at family farming. In case of having specialization, 3 years of experience in the requested areas. In case of having Master's degree, 2 years of experience in the requested areas. In case of having a Doctorate, 1 year of experience in the requested areas.
- Working knowledge (level C) of Portuguese and English or Spanish;
- Brazilian Nationality or resident of the country with valid work permit.

**Technical/Functional Skills**
- Desirable:

- Experience in implementing, monitoring or evaluating projects or agreements under the Food Acquisition Program (PAA);
- Experience in activities of planning and commercialization of the production of family farming;
- Participation in projects and actions related to milk production and/or agroecology;
- Experience in programs and public policies aimed at food and nutrition security.
