**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Build relationships with key internal stakeholders and customers to define technical development objectives.
- Ensure that department safety, health and environmental procedures are followed.
- Responsible for lab capex program.
- Participates in the commercialization of new technologies and services.
- Provides support related to anticipating and assessing the impact on product properties due to changes to manufacturing processes, raw materials, or product composition.
- Monitors and evaluates project progress and results to determine improvements needed to meet ultimate objectives.
- Consults with business on commercial programs to ensure adequate technical support.
- Design or provide support in designing and analyzing animal trials

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Masters or Ph.D. degree in a technical/scientific discipline (biology, chemistry, veterinary, microbiology) and significant relevant experience in an Application or laboratory environment.
- Proven industry experience with the ability to identify key existing and future customer needs & trends.
- Demonstrates excellent team leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate.
- Team player and highly effective working within a cross functional team environment.
- Highly self-motivated with effective time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated experience in managing change or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Previous supervision experience is preferred.
- Fluent in English (oral and written); Spanish will be an advantage

- Business segments:

- Application of enzymes in animal feed
- Analysis of raw material for animal feed
- Deployment of animal health services (microbiology/qPCR techniques)
- Location: Castelo Branco laboratory, Braueri, Sao Paulo
- Geographical scope: Latin America
- Accounts: key regional accounts in LATAM.
- Line management: leading team of 4 people based in Sao Paulo. Responsible for objective setting, performance review, training & development, and succession planning. Responsible for signing off expense reports, procurement request and leave days.
- Reporting to Global Application Manager AN&H.
- Key business stakeholders: Regional industry leader LATAM, Regional Technical Director LATAM; Regional Sales leaders LATAM.
- Network and collaborate with other key functions (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory) to facilitate collaboration.
