**Your Role**

Being **Project Officer** in Tomé-Açu, your day will be primarily focused on:

- ** Community engagement**:establishing open and constructive dialogue with its members, to promote participation and effective involvement in the management process of their territories;
- ** Community diagnosis**:conduct surveys to identify the needs, challenges and potential of the communities involved. This will help guide the actions and interventions needed to promote sustainable development;
- ** Capacity building and training**:carry out activities to strengthen the skills and knowledge of rural communities, such as training related to: land management, sustainable agricultural techniques, crop diversification, food security, domestic economics and small businesses;
- ** Support for land regularization**:offer support and guidance in the community's land regularization process, seeking to guarantee their rights and the legal security of their territories;
- ** Improvement of relations with agro-industries**: will be responsible for establishing and promoting constructive and collaborative relationships with the agro-industrial companies involved, aiming at building more sustainable partnerships and dialogue between stakeholders;
- ** Project and succession planning**:contribute to the project's Strategic Planning, identifying goals, indicators and schedules. In addition, it will be responsible for ensuring the continuity and succession of actions and results achieved, seeking to empower communities so that they become protagonists in their own development initiatives.

**Your Profile**

With prior knowledge of the Tomé-Açu region and the context of social conflicts with traditional populations, associated with the palm oil production chain you are eager to generate positive impact using your expertize. You also are familiar with family farming context in the palm oil production chain and the social conflicts existing in the territory.

Having ideally completed a higher or technical training in Law, Agronomy, Administration, Sociology, Social Assistance, Environmental Management, Information Management, Forestry Engineering or equivalent, you demonstrate excellent discernement to evaluate what are the right action leading to desirable impact in your field.

Being naturally oriented to support and nurture healthy relationship with your peers, you tackle challenges with optimism and a solution-oriented mindset which makes you very appreciated by your co-workers. Diplomatic though assertive, you do not shy from complex situation, leveraging your excellent communication skills to express your ideas and recommendation but also knowing when to listen and show compassion.

Versed in managing geospatial information and available for field trips (Habilitation A and/or B), 80% of your work will be done in the state of Pará, interspersed with trips outside the reference territory and face-to-face meetings with customers, members, suppliers and team meetings.
- Working Conditions_
- Technical Degree in relevant field (preferable)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience
- Start as soon as possible
- Full-time (44 hours/ week in CLT format), open-ended contract
- Portuguese & basic English
- Tomé-Açu or surroundings, in Pará
- Citizenship or legal permission to work in the country
