**Position Description**
"Are you passionate about data and interested in the automotive industry? We are a data analytics team at Powertrain Engineering at Volvo Group's Application Center in Curitiba, looking for a Data Scientist to join us"
As a Data Scientist, you'll be working with a group of data engineers and analysts to turn big data from our products into valuable insights. Your responsibilities will include data mining, analysis, and transforming data into a format that can be easily analyzed and queried.
**Job Requirements**:
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills in both Portuguese and English, both spoken and written
- Experience working with data analysis functions.
- Experience handling large real-world datasets.
- Preferred experience in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning methods: Unsupervised, Supervised, and Reinforcement Learning.
- Proficiency in programming languages: Python, R, SQL, DAX.
- Understanding of Data Access and Extraction (ETL) from Data Warehousing (e.g., IBM) and Data Lakes (e.g., Azure), as well as version control tools like Bitbucket and GIT.
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, Spark, Hadoop, SPSS, Pyodbc, and others.
