**What you will be doing**
Direct and oversee all accounting and financial activities in an organizational unit in support of overall FIS objectives and to ensure the achievement of revenue and profitability goals as well as future business growth objectives.
- Directs the accounting and finance activities of an organizational unit in support of revenue and profitability goals.
- Establishes objectives, practices, procedures and initiatives typically relying on corporate senior management for setting strategic direction, guidance and company-wide policies.
- Administers organization’s policies through subordinate managers and directs and coordinates accounting and financial activities.
- Provides leadership including planning, coaching, recruiting, selection, performance development and mentoring.
- Monitors staff performance works with employees to implement goals and document progress and works with Human Resources on employee related issues.
- Directs resources in a cost-effective, innovative manner including assisting subordinates in effective use of resources and tools.
- Develops, leads, manages and motivates staff.
- Ensures the accurate and timely preparation of all financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, etc.
- Develops policy, governance and standards.
Provides key financial advice to members of executive and management committees.
- Participates in strategy and business plan development and regularly meets with business owners.
- Monitors staff performance, works with Human Resources on issues, works with employees to implement goals and document progress.
**What you bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- CPA/CRC (Certified Public Accountant) license required
- Requires strong management skills
- Ability to identify, address and resolves employee related issues
- Requires a strong understanding of the industries in which FIS competes
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, methods and procedures
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills
- Requires considerable knowledge of general Central Bank policies and procedures, a thorough knowledge of business administration principles and skill in financial management
- Knowledge of FIS’ products and services; in-depth knowledge of products and services in assigned line(s) of business
- Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management
- Ability to design, document and implement process improvements
Effective team building, coaching and persuasion skills
- Skill in negotiation regarding complex issues
- Communicates ideas and/or position on a variety of issues both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner to employees and clients at all levels
