It is expected that you deal with outside counsel on all tax related matters, collaborates with Direct / Indirect Tax Department and also with Finance and Accounting Departments, which requires you to be prepared to take on responsibility ranging from advisory matters through to dispute and litigation strategy, in an assertive, proactive and efficient manner. **About You**:
You’re driven to perform at the highest level possible, with a great judgment, has a great communication skill, speaks Portuguese and English fluently and you appreciate a performance culture fueled by authentic caring. You’re also a college graduate with a degree in Law (licensed to practice law in Brazil) with an outstanding academic and legal qualifications, with an Post-Graduation in Tax or Litigation, and have at least four years of continuous work experience and with practical experience in Brazilian tax law related matters, including administrative and judicial disputes, litigation management system and accruals process.

You will coordinate all Tax related litigation in Brazil in support to the Legal Tax Manager, determining legal strategies with external law firms on relevant cases, support law firms with the gathering of evidences and interface with outside counsel, Accounting and External Auditors on risk assessment and corresponding contingency reserves, assuring tax litigation is managed appropriately;

You will provide legal advice to the business, including partnering with Finance and Tax teams and other business functions in advising on tax planning or tax compliance initiatives designed by Finance and Tax Departments;
You will follow up and review new legislation and court precedents that could affect the business from a tax perspective; capture opportunities to mitigate risks thru legal actions and also coordinate the renewals of negative debt certificates.
