What you’ll do:

- The Payroll manager will not rest before all Mambu employees have their salaries on time
- The role is together with the Payroll Analyst responsible for Mambu’s payroll globally, including our HQ in the Netherlands, USA, Brazil, Mexico, UK, Germany, Romania, Lithuania, UEA, Singapore and Australia
- This includes running payroll reports, coordinating and checking payroll with external vendors, validating payroll journals and making sure both salary and tax related payments are done timely and 100% accurately
- Foster strong relationships with external payroll provider
- Responsible for preparing payroll payment instructions and uploading them to various banks
- Coordinate payroll approvals and funding instructions with Finance teams
- Prepare monthly payroll and tax reconciliations, journals and accrual reports
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies for all jurisdictions in scope
- Manage payroll and tax audits, both internal and external
- Collaborating with pension providers, health and insurance service providers
- Implement new country payrolls when applicable

What you’ll bring:

- 7-10 years experience in payroll operations and accounting in an international environment
- Significant experience managing international payroll across multiple business entities and across a hybrid in-house / EOR environment and setting up payroll in new jurisdictions
- Hands-on with ability to operate as team leader and individual contributor at the same time
- Self starter, ability to run the end-to-end payroll process and hold people accountable to meet payroll deadlines with 100% accuracy
- Ability to rapidly understand a global payroll function related to tax impacts in all jurisdictions where Mambu operates and implement compliance controls
- Process oriented: ability to design, implement, document and continuously improve a controlled business processes around run-rate payroll, employee bonus and commission payments and vacation accruals
- Structured, proactive communication skills with internal stakeholders and with third-party global payroll providers and tax advisors
- Nice to have: Familiarity with Papaya, ERP system, Banking software and SAP success factors
