Background

WFP Brazil - Centre of Excellence against Hunger is a global hub for South-South Cooperation and capacity development in the areas of school feeding, food security and nutrition. It is an innovation that seeks to respond government demands for technical support to strengthen their national capacities and knowledge on sustainable school feeding and other food security programmes and to support them in the design and implementation of these programmes.

**Responsibilities**:
The Communications Intern will be located in Brasilia. Under the overall supervisor of the Communications Officer, you will be expected to learn and gain practical experience while supporting the communications team. General tasks include:
- Support the creation and edition of content for social media (videos, photos, audio and infographics).- Provide support in documenting events and visits, when requested.- Produce texts for news.- Take photos.- Help organize image banks.- Provide support in online events.- Upload videos.- Provide support to the communications team in WFP´s publications.- Provide support in updating mailing lists.

- You must have fluency in oral and written communication in Portuguese,- You must have working knowledge in English.

Competencies:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.- Willingness to explore and experiment with new ideas and approaches in own work.

Stipend

Interns will be paid a monthly stipend as a contribution towards basic subsistence costs. The amount payable is BRL 131,60 per working day. No other benefits or entitlements accrue to interns.

Contract duration and modality

Duration of contract is 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Maximum contract duration is 8 months. Working modality is in presence at the Brasilia office, for a workload of 6h/day, from Mondays to Fridays.
